I picked up my Roadster on Sept 1st, however there was a paper-work snafu & Sales Manager confusion when I ordered, followed by general dealership confusion, so my stripes were installed a few days late (after I'd already put 300 miles on).

So, now, we have stripes and I'm finally ready to post a picture.

Nice spice orange, congrats on great color. Black Wheels will set that R59 off. Especially with the black top and black stripes. Let me know if you need wheels , we might have something coming up at the end of the week.

My wife has fallen in love with a Paceman, and the first thing she said she'd have to do is get black wheels.

I'll consider 'em for the R59, as well.

Your new Roadster looks fantastic, Doctin. I noticed that you have the English Walnut trim. It's a little hard to tell from the pictures but how does it work with the Toffee Lounge Leather?

It looks very good. Very happy with how it turned out. The pictures are a little bleached out due to the sun. Very good contrast and flow. The cocomats.com floor mats really pull it all together as well. I went for the traditional British Roadster look and came as close as I could.

Looks great. The door trim rings are the only thing that I'm not sure about, but the problem is that of the options available I'm not sure what would be any better. Those look like piano black, the only alternatives I've seen from the factory are silver (which I have and which work OK with my current striped alloy dash) and a "crinkle black" like on my wife's Clubman, which looks pretty cheap in all honesty. I wonder if someone could "hydro-dip" them woodgrain? Or maybe matching leather?

The piano black door rings worked out well actually. It blends in...not really a focal point. The black speedometer and gauges really worked out as well with this car. The white/silver ones would stand out too much. Good timing.

Interior - other angle

Here is another angle. Taken with iphone the other day...still not a perfect representation of the actual colors, but close enough.

Very classy. Love the English oak w/ toffee and the English oak steering wheel . Extra class.

Reposted it a bit bigger congrats:

mdv13 - Here are some wheels in black & Black machined face R113 and R105 :

We have R113 and R105 on price drop from MINI in full sets Here, center cap, tires, valve stems, balanced...etc:

These are full sets of four for one price: tires/ balanaced..etc.

These come with TPMS and JCW center caps. The TPMS are for -9/2009 MINI , so you can have them coded out for the TPMS by an aftermarket shop or just live with the TPMS light on. Option #2 Get http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/ES2763259/ and install so it will work with the 9/2009+ MINI TPMS system.

These used to be $3200.00+ a set, they just came down in price. Limited quarantines, get them while they last.

R105's will need spacers for JCW 4 position brakes.

-----------------
Or

-----------------

R113 , same thing with the TPMS . These don't need spacers for the JCW 4 piston brakes. See pics.

We saw an old Spitfire with the top down at the weekend, and I tried to convince my wife that my car should get the English Oak dash, but she wasn't going for it. I live in hope though.

I wish you'd had these when I got my Breyton 18's. I might have gone for this. I don't like all black wheels, but these are decent!

spiney - For the price , these full sets of wheels are great and will not last long. And the R113 & R105 styles are some of the best from Gen 2 JCW parts bin.

Gil-galad - agree

Just noticed you need to match the paino black of the original steering wheel and interior trim, when they went to the wood version, it comes with the silver covers per etk for Multifunction.

[IMG]Multifunction Steering Wheel Pads/ Wires Black part #32309289676

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/32309289676/

[/IMG]

And the matching lower center pad. 32306863536

&&

I always thought it would be cool if someone added the MINI Goodwood pads to match the gloss piano black of the airbag

Multifunction Steering Wheel Pads/ Wires Gloss Black Part #61319284595

And then will need the matching gloss black lower pad insert.

Thanks

If anyone in the Boston area wants to swap their good condition 2012-compatible silver steering wheel Multifunction control pads for my matt black ones, PM me and we can work something out.

The dealership is switching the silver out for the original black. I just haven't time to get back there. The piano black ones you have look nice also - are they made by Mini? I'll look closer at them. How hard is it to do this switch myself? I don't like the idea of messing with the steering wheel/airbag...and also don't want to void the warranty somehow.

Yes its made by MINI, just look for the Genuine MINI on the product info when I post. Will not void your warranty, its a MINI part. If you don't like swapping them out yourself, MINI dealership can do it instead of swapping to the old black or another MINI owner who knows what they are doing. Its not that hard.

Thanks

Cool. Thanks. You guys have great stuff. I'll take a look at the piano black ones....may go that route.
