2015 Coupe

Just got my second S coupe....WhiteSilver/Black. Dealer says it's the only 2015 currently on the road in the US. No other 2015's have even been assigned a chassis. He waited three months to get one for me after I placed my order. Looks like the coupe is going to disappear sooner than expected. My new one has improved structural integrity and a number of minor interior and exterior changes, while the engine hums and pulls a little better. I'm impressed!

Do you know if the coupe JCW has changed it's engine yet? I have the N18, but am thinking about a new one depending on engine. In 2012 when I had mine built the S was the N18 and the JCW coupe was the N14.

The 2015 Coupe has the same N18 engine, whereas the 2015 F56 MCS hatchback has a totally different 2L engine which is 2/3 of the BMW 325 straight six. Next year the Coupe should change to the F platform assuming they don't stop making it.

WhiteSilver/Black 2015 MCS Coupe.
Speedo & tach now have a black background.
Ordered piano black dash and side panels, but both came in this checked pattern which I like even more.

Looks cool. Hmm.. so I need to make sure I don't get the checkered pattern. I wanted piano black specifically.

Did the dealer give a reason why that happened? Did they mess up the order?

There was an apparent miscommunication about my dash and side panels. Correct on the MA's order, but omitted on the dealer's order. You should be OK. The checkered pattern is reflective like piano black. Looking ahead.....the rear vanity cover is sturdier, slight change in steering column, rubber strips around the bottom of windows are sturdier, rear parking sensor is a nice addition, LED low beams have circles of light that are stylish!

Congratulations.

The checkered is nice.......the piano black black is always showing dust and fingerprints and not easy to keep clean.

I have the JCW carbon fiber shift ****, hand brake and checkered carpets and I am sure everything would mix well.

By the way, was it an option or it came that way?

It appears that checkered is standard. It will keep looking clean. Glad the mistake was made on my order!

Well. I like it better as a personal taste. You may have the choice when ordering from the factory to have checkered or black? Am I right?

Again, Congratulations.

The Piano black looks great and a simple change. Or you could go English Oak or maybe RR Walnut. Looks great BTW.
