My 2010 Mayfair is JCW Tuning Kitted. JCW's come with a 10:1 compression ratio engine while the S comes with a 10.5:1 compression ratio...The tuning kit made mine faster than a JCW!...I also have an Aero kit that was port installed and added the Tuning kit at 26,000 miles at the Mini Dealer and the car is still FULL FACTORY WARRANTIED to 100,000 miles or 6 years! BTW it is Midnight Black Metallic Top and Bottom.

Not too bad. They look awesome

""Those are nice around ~24 Lbs each for an 18"

But the deal of the week right now is the full sets with wheels / tires / mounted and balanced R105's or R113 which are 18" ~25lbs each + tires , comes with Pirelli P Zero tires RF Summers.

These are full sets of four for one price.

These come with TPMS and JCW center caps. The TPMS are for -9/2009 MINI , so you can have them coded out for the TPMS by an aftermarket shop or just live with the TPMS light on. Option #2 Get http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/ES2763259/ and install so it will work with the 9/2009+ MINI TPMS system.

These used to be $3200.00+ a set, they just came down in price. Limited quarantines, get them while they last.

R105's will need spacers for JCW 4 position brakes.

-----------------
Or

R113 , same thing with the TPMS . These don't need spacers for the JCW 4 piston brakes. See pics.

Gives you some options and these wheels look so good in person. JCW envy. ""

How much was the JCW tuning kit? Seeing how it's an ECU tune and the JCW car has a different bigger turbocharger I'd be surprised if they were the same engine performance but I don't know.

JCW Tuning Kit

Normally the kit runs between 2,100-2,600 USD. I had a bad stock muffler that I got credit for on the upgrade. I am one of Irvine Mini's frequent fliers. I have brought business their way and got mine at a pretty good price, can't really say how much but if you can get it for under $2,000 it's a pretty great deal. You get an ECU Tune + JCW muffler/pipe with engraved tips + a new JCW Airbox top with JCW round hi performance filter, labor included to cut out old muffler and all installed. Also you get front and rear John Cooper Works badges and an engine plaque installed. Includes all documentation and car is under full factory warranty.

You should trade for a real JCW Coupe no matter new or used. You would save a lot of money.

Engine, valve train, turbo and exhaust, brakes and suspension, interior and body are so apart from the S that you have to drive one to realize how the JCW Coupe is far superior to all the other Mini models.

It is "really" worth the $7000 JCW package option in the Coupe.

JCW vs My Mayfair S

I agree...to a point. I have a one of a kind Mayfair. Not Brown but Midnight Black Metallic top and bottom only made one year, 2010. The only Midnight Black Metallic Mayfair Automatic, made with the JCW Aero kit in Double Black that I know of. I can do the upgrades to full JCW which I will do soon enough.

I think the exhaust and suspension in my car are the same as the MCS. The interior isn't different, you can get the steering wheel and stuff as an option. You can get the body kit too. What you can't get from the factory is the turbocharger which is the big difference, and the brakes. You can add the Brembo brakes aftermarket but not the turbocharger. I think $7k is reasonable for what you get, but it makes the car's price about $40k with options, quite a bit more than a nice F56.

Turbo

The JCW turbo is available for my 2010 Mayfair...I have checked that out already...My parts guy at Mini said the stock S turbo is out of stock and will replace mine with a JCW unit if mine ever goes bad. I have some pictures of my Mini on NAM website...Check them out in my gallery...

Congratulations for your Mayfair. It looks real nice and distinctive. I love the interior trim. It is worth keeping and I understand why you are investing so much in upgrades.

What are the next upgrades you would like to do?

Turbo

Next upgrade will probably be the JCW Turbocharger. Then the GP2 diffuser and belly pans kit.

Right here for the GP2 front Belly Pan kit ~ $265 right now for the kit.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-pan-kits.html

Here is the front GP2 Belly pan kit again, center underbody belly pans: R56 Hardtops, Info for the r58 Coupe and R59 Roadster models mod also, as well as the R55 Clubman. And the GP2 Rear diffuser ( which is not for the R55 Clubman). This completes the whole underbody ( Aero set up ) . 51747330558KT

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...p-speed-2.html

Pretty slick set up.

Thanks

Welcome.

Well, all come primed* now. Even the blackband ( for full painted version comes primed ). . I think there is a one kit left which Is Pepper White. JCW Aero kit II w/out PDC 51192154738 . That's all that left from the old factory painted body kits.

Thanks

LOL
Yea, think they just did not want to stock and paint also matching perfect ( these are time sensitive paint parts ) i think after a while they threw them away. So its a loss. So now everything comes primed.

What is the purpose of the belly pan kit on a R58 ? Is it just an under carriage esthetic accessory or has it been proven it provides an improvement about the overall dynamics of the Coupe at some speed?

I am curious.

We have discussed that over here many times, I have ran it on the R58 for some time and well as an R56 before this part was out on the market. Its been more durable then expected. The bottom end for oil changes differently stays cleaner and the pan looks awesome install. Some have reported cooler oil /engine temps by a couple degrees.

You can see the MINI video where the aerodynamics where tested. Full underbody kits are usually found on high end vehicles, its nice we have this for MINI.

Thanks

The body kit is around $2k installed. The brake kit is similar I think. But the turbocharger is not available to install in the MCS and that's what makes it a different car. You can tune the MCS and make it better and mess with the exhaust and stuff, but you can't upgrade to that turbocharger. Total extra for the JCW is just south of $7k and you get some wheels, interior stuff with that.
You can easily buy the JCW turbo and slap it on a cooper S. I plan on doing it in another 16,000 miles or so.

Do you buy it from Mini or a 3rd party? How much is it? I don't think I've run across anyone who's done it is why I thought you couldn't get one. Probably doesn't matter that you don't have the "reinforced" pistons and clutch right?

If you google search, it seems you can buy the JCW turbo for about $1400 from vendors. From where they come from is the big question.

Some are performance supply distributors.
