My plan is to use the wheels and tires on my R56 on this car in the winter. And then use the wheels and tires that come with the car for summer driving. I have brand new tires and wheels on my R56. (Conti non run flat with Von Max VM1 Wheels) I will be trading in that car but I am going to put the stock wheels and tires back on it before the transaction is completed. I would like to keep my car but 3 MINI's in a two person household may be a bit much. Not really but my wife says so.

Here is a pic of my R56 with the Von Max wheels. It's a cool car and I hate to get rid of it but the JCS Coupe is calling loudly.

 

Question for xcoupe: those seats only available on the JCW car? I love them but I'm leaning toward the S model so I can get the AT. I know I can get the red colorline, but I'm not sure about the dash in Chili Red (which is excellent). I basically want your car with an AT (so my wife can drive it) and non-black wheels.

General Coupe production doesn't start until the first week of September (i.e. week 36). Therefore, it won't be at least until sometime around then, and it depends upon what type of Coupe you ordered (i.e. justa, "S", or JCW) and what production slot your dealer had for you.

The earlier your production number is, the earlier your Coupe will get built. I have a September production slot that begins with 3660xxx, but I've already seen 3657xxx, 3630xxx, and 3629xxx (which will all get built before mine). Hopefully, you got a nice low production number.

Ordered my on Monday, 8/22, and got the last slot my MINI dealership had. My MA said it should be a Wk 36 production date (called ask-mini and the automated system says it has been scheduled for production, Woot). I ordered the Coupe S, Eclipse Grey, Black roof/mirrors, blk stripes,blacked out xenon headlights, and 17" Conical Spoke wheels in black. The interior is Blk/Beige punched leather, piano black trim and black color line. Ordered the Cold package (live in Utah) and the sports package. Only difference is I didn't order with the Union Jack Mirror caps. I will decide on those later and order them after market.

 

Very nice look. I might add those Black Jack mirror caps to my Coupe when it arrives.
