Does The 2010 come with the hood heat/insulation cover?

Hi Everyone, I purchased my car with only the knowledge from reading as many of these threads as possible and gained quite a lot actually having never owned one. My question because I seem to lack one, does the 2010 MCS vert come with a heat insulation cover on the hood? The first time I opened her up I noticed there was not one on my hood and was unsure if the factory negated them for heat reasons due to turbo.
Thanks for any info .

K well I guess it's slower on this forum than the rest ! I Looked through google and found a post for R58's here on NAM and it was decided that there is no rhyme or reason which cars got them and which did not ...14 pages and no definitive answer from dealer or factory.

I bought my 2011 pre-owned, and it is not installed. Not sure when the "delete" took place.

Yeah there was a long 14 pages of some who had it and some who did not...ordered at the same time? The factory said it was only installed if you had factory installed sport stripes...because of heat issues with stripes fading....but then there were people who had them done at factory and the insulation was not on their cars? and on and on....so there is no reason ...either they put it on or they didn't.

This must be for "S" Mini's as our CPO 2011 Clubman with sport stripes did not have the shield. I think the heat issue is with the Turbo "S" and not the non Turbo's.

Well the heat blanket /insulation had the turbo shield built into it in some cases and then there were others with no shield ...hence this must also be a non turbo s issue as well. There just was not a consistent application of what cars got it or did not.
