Highgate Owners - You out there?

I purchased my second Mini Cooper about a month ago. I traded my 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman for a 2012 Mini Cooper Convertible Highgate. I love it! I just wanted to say hello to any other Highgate owners out there.

Are you loving your car as much as I am loving mine?

I'm not a Highgate owner, but the one I autocrossed in Chicago on MTTS was *gorgeous*. Wouldn't have guessed that interior combination would look so great in person.

Very classy ride!

Central NJ. I went from a '09 to a '12...only 3 years so the spouse was not happy, but I fell in love with the Highgate the moment I laid eyes on it!

Yeah, so do I!! I have had the car for about six weeks and I have almost 3K! I cannot help it, I love to put the top down and go! I used to commute to work by train but I have found myself driving every since I got the car!! My husband made me promise that in September I would get back on the train!

I had the armrest installed as well. Plus rubber floor mats and boot cover. And I added a holder for my iPhone because I use the Garmin GPS App.

Do you have the bonnet stripes?

Rubber liner for the boot. And actually, I saw a Highgate in San Fran with no stripes but everything else.

My Highgate S landed at Brunswick on the 16th, so I'm hoping for delivery this week. I did opt for the bonnet stripes, even though I'm not really a stripe-type. The stripes are subtle and nicely link the interior to the exterior, so I think of them more as a design element than a racing accoutrement.

Thanks for starting this thread, MMKV! It's nice to connect w/ others who were also captivated by this edition.

At last!

Just got the call from my MA: I'm scheduled to pick up my Highgate S next Tuesday (the 28th) at 4 PM. This little jewel. Can't wait.

highgate happiness

Quick update: I picked up my Highgate last night. Of course, I was always taken with this model, but the more time I spend with it, the more I appreciate it.

The inside finish is solid and beautiful, especially the slightly optical effect of the sun-touched alloy.

The iced chocolate exterior is like a medallion of cool, crisp, very dark chocolate, breaking against the teeth and melting upon the tongue.

This is a car you wear like a beautifully tailored coat. It doesn't matter what else you're wearing (or not wearing): arriving in it, you're perfectly presentable. And, more likely than not, elated.

I ordered my Highgate last Thursday and got my production number today. It's going to be a long 2-3 month wait. I'm already dying.

I just have to say: after having my Highgate for the past three weeks, I'm more in love with it every day. The finish inside is tight, buff, lovely. I have the 6-speed manual (S model), and it is truly a joy. Buying this car is one of the best things I've done.

Future Highgate owners, hang on. You'll be SO glad.

Are you still loving your Highgate? I'd love to hear all about it, so I can live vicariously. Does anyone know how long they will be producing these? I originally heard 6 months, then someone said until the F models come out.

I just signed on the dotted line for a Highgate S Convertible. It's in production and I hope to have it around the beginning of November. Such an awesome looking car. I was actually thinking of ordering one by my own design, and waiting it out. I had built a red one with cloth/leather interior. Very cool. But I hated to wait that long, so I asked the dealer to see what they could find in a Convertable S. They told me they had the Highgate in production. I never thougt I would every have a brown car, but this is the baddest thing on four wheels. I can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Love the combination of brown and light blue.

That might just be the coolest looking car I've ever seen. Can't wait til mine arrives. Somebody else . . . cough up those pics.

It's a great little car. The car is so much more fun with the top down. Hopefully you got heated seats and can run around during cool weather.
