Fuel Gage

Can't read the fuel gage with the top down on a sunny day. Please bring back the real gage instead of the indicator lights.

But, the annoying gas pump comes on the tach when you have 60 miles til empty. Do you really need to see that 2 carrots are gone?

With the lighted fuel gauge in the MINI, no one can attempt to go 'further left of the line than anyone else has ever done' (reference to this )

That was a great episode. You can however try to go furthest on "----" As that is what the OBC shows after 0 miles to empty.

Very tempting, but I am going to pass on trying to set that record :P

Have you had experience with the PBC going to "----" ?

Twice. 1st time was on my first tank. I knew I was running low, and was in an area of town I wasn't familiar with. I decided to stay on the road I was on until I found a gas station. I watched the OBC turn from 20 til empty, to 10, to 5, to 0, to "----." Where I went another 4-5 miles before finding a gas station. Darn boonies!

The 2nd time I was just lazy and didn't feel like stopping before I went to work. When I left I had 5 miles til empty, I work 2 miles away from home. By the time I got to work I was at 0. Then when I got in to go home I was greeted with "----." Got gas about 1/4mi from work.

Both times the car took about 14.6 gallons to fill up. Talk about cutting it close, since our tank is 13.2 gallons with a 1.2 gallon reserve tank. According to my math, thats 14.4 gallons.
