Hood scoop warping

Well at just over 3K miles my hood scoop is definitely warping.
A visual bow compared to new cars on the lot and compared to my father's & brother's Clubman S cars (Hot Chocolate & Pepper White).

It is hot/humid here, but certainly not as hot as the desert southwest USA.
My black color I know is not helping.

Anyone else?
I haven't had time to hit the dealer yet, too busy with road trips!

Gosh, this must be one of those MINI "idiosyncrasies" that Jim McDowell was preaching about last month. You really should just try to understand your car a bit better...

Seriously though, it's certainly sad that BMW has had three full years to react to this issue and have apparently made no (or a feeble) attempt to mitigate it.

There was some thread on NAM about Mini releasing a fix for this somet time this year... Maybe a heat shield, or a different bonnet scoop, who really know. They finally releaesd a fix for the cold start issue, so maybe one day we'll see an issue for this. However for now, the CF Bonnet Scoop works well, and looks good. I haven't noticed any warping on mine, and it's been in the mid 100 a few days since I picked up Mini in April.

Mine was warping a month after I picked it up near the end of May. Scheduled to get it replaced next weekend. Also having them check my cosmoline stains as ive had enormous amounts of cosmoline leakage out of pretty much every hole in my hood. I dont think they even tried to clean it out as I have even found about a foot long trail running along the front of the hood heading to the area under my headlights to further stain my plastic trim. But to get back on subject, my dealer mentioned MINI was working on a fix but they would replace it in the meantime and schedule another maintenance for that fix.

Must be cheaper to keep replacing them cause lord knows they have replaced ALLOT of them. As soon as I brought it up to my SA it was "no prob, bring it in, ones on order"

Eighteen months and I'm working on my third one on the Clubman. It's been a minor inconvenience.

We are on our 2nd one with a 3rd on order. What irrates me (to put it calmly) is when I made my appointment 2 weeks in advance, why wasn't one ordered, painted and waiting for us? Now they expect us to make the 5 hour round trip just to have it installed... WTF?

To make it worse I had to take a day off work, last time, since the other issues I had they "couldn't handle on a Saturday".
