Yes, it is a bit of pain to clean black honeycomb inserts on mine too, as they do accumulate some water...

Interchange yellow question
Hi, I'm about to order my first MINI--I'm getting a (non-S) convertible, and I'm thinking about Interchange Yellow, but I've never actually seen one in the flesh. I did see a 2002 hardtop, which was a lemon yellow; and a newer (2009 maybe?) convertible that was a greener yellow. Are either of these colors Interchange Yellow? Thanks!

Hi jansean, you are correct the Greenish-Yellow 09' cabrio you saw is Interchange Yellow. This special color isn't for everyone because of the slight influence of another color. The color was such a money generator that mini was considering using it on the other models
We IY owners are so passionate about this color that we even lobbied mini to only use IY on the convertible line
