Dude -- you waited long enough for this MINI it would be a shame if it ended up in a police auction!

I wish mine had it! Apparently they didnt start making the secret compartment until the week after mine. At the dealership there was an assortment of cars that had it and didnt.
Yikes. When was yours built? I ordered 12/15/06, I can't imagine yours was built before mine. I can't imagine that the cars at the Detroit show were built after yours, and they all had the compartment.
lava - I know, I thought the same thing. Mine was built week 4. Im going to have to do some more asking, my MA's explaination doesnt seem right. I could have used that extra space!
My MA said the same thing, the earlier cars he got were not equipped with the CD changer compartment and trick door. But the car I test drove today, which was newer, had the door.
My MA today could not get ours open today when I test drove our MCS, GREAT VIDEO!! It was just a test drive. Not my MCS! He was irritated he couldn't get it open.

I find that a bit odd - I don't know why you wouldn't be able to buy a changer for either boost or HiFi. Think about it - the changer is an accessory - and if I were a betting man- I would say it supports both.
Also, I heard all cars have the feature - it just depends on if it is locked by the PDI guys.

True, after checking the configurator, it's not tied.
