Oxygen Blue paint samples at U.S. dealers

Saw samples of all the new paint color and finishes today at the dealer...which just so happened to include Oxygen Blue!! I admit, I am a fan. Why? It's non-metallic...and it's just too darn close to this:

Awaiting confirmation from my MA that this really is available here. If so, my next Cooper will be Oxygen Blue (w/ english oak trim on the inside)

Wow! That blue is killer! If only it could be available for the MCS as well.

Great Color

I like it!! I'm scheduled for a March build . If it is available, I'll switch to it. Otherwise, BRG.

I'm an old school guy & I never understood why MINI didn't use a few more old school colors, I went with pw/b just because it was as close to old school as you could get without going with arrest me red & black...

Is available for March

I called ask-mini and was told that all indications from the ordering information they have available is that it is available for 3/07 build. Think it will be goodbye BRG, hello oxygen blue. I told ask-mini, they really needed a non-metallic BRG.

I think that is such a great color. I wish it was available when I bought my MINI last summer. Hopefully, when I'm ready to retire Pepper in a few years (like 2011 when my daughter turns 16 ), it'll still be available.

Somehow I doubt it, though. So many good colors retire quickly.

BMW had a GREAT solid BRG on their Z3 for a couple years. If they'd had that color as their BRG. I wouldn't have a LY car now.

Custom color

I can't get over how awesome that color is. Has anyone ever been able to get a custom color, or been able to bribe their MA to get a Cooper-only color on an S?

Configurator Looks Great

The color on the conifigurator looks awesome, much better than on the motoringfile picture posted a couple of weeks ago. Does look just like the post from gokartride.

I'm ordering!!

That is great news gokart!

Now for the downside (for me that is) Oxygen Blue is available only on the Cooper not the MCS.

It is such a nice shade of blue! (but then again every blue that MINI/BMW has offered has been a winner)

I will just have to wait and see what MINI offers in 2008 when I place my order. The wait is gonna kill me!

Went BRG

I had to lock my reorder (MFSW problem) down today and went BRG, w/ white roof and bonnet stripes. Couldn't get a consistent view of the color. UK configurator was different from US configurator etc. Just felt too risky and BRG was my first choice anyway.

I was having enough problems deciding between SS/W or SS/B or CR/W. Now I have to add OB/W to the mix. :impatient

I know. I'll get one in every color............

I've seen the Oxygen Blue, and while it isn't my thing, I'm sure lots of people will like it.

Laser Blue is nice but I believe it will be overdone (kind of like Chili Red).

As I've said before, BMW/MINI has done a good job with the blues that they have offered. I particularly like SPACE and INDI (though you can't count out Lightning, Hyper, Electric, Cool, etc.). They are all so cool in their own way!

What I liked about Oxygen Blue was that it is a non-metallic and I believe it will also not be as prevalent a color as say Laser. Kind of gives it a certain exclusivity. Then again maybe I'm way off base on this one...

Old School is COOL
...so this was my only search result that came up with O2 paint.
Anybody know where I can get some 02 paint for tiny chip damage?

A dealership?

If you live far from one you could call and have them ship it.
