yeah I try to keep up as much as possible with the performance aspects with the n14's !!
i'm currently running the forge atmosphere bov ' and it's really starting to get annoying every time you let off it blows off! even when your cruising around with low throttle response
I really like the idea of the turbo smart valve being mechanical / vacuum- actuated instead of a solenoid / ecm!
and the highbred 50-50 I'm really not sure why Forge didn't do it in the beginning! especially being that it's Map driven!! who know!!!s butt new things are allway's fun

I have a shorty 50/50 for an EFR 6258 turbo sitting in the garage we used for testing. Outstanding unit and never triggered a CEL on the N14, but do pay attention to the adjustment procedures. The boost pressure in the manifold helps hold the valve closed so it is not necessary nor recommended to tighten it too far when installing it. Assuming more is better and cranking it all the way in can result in compressor surge.

Is this for only the N14 motor or N18 also?

They state for both engines N14 and N18.
Also there is the plumb back version:

who doesn't like sounding like a rally car! chirp chirp'
And when i talk with emma from lohen' she was saying it will work for both the n14 & n18's
how difficult is it to find a Settings on the vavle? or is it going to be few hours worth of trial and air!?
how's the sound? i was trying to find video's but no luck was only able to find it on the ford st & and speed 3'
there's not much about it on the net ' yet.. was going try to write up a little review on it when o get it!

If it's like the EFR version it is not necessary to drive it to set it. It can be adjusted by revving the engine and listening to the sound. There should be a micro-CD in the package with a video and instructions.
Unfortunately, I cannot personally confirm proper operation on the N18. Pneumatic recirc valves like the Alta were found to not work well on the N18 since there is considerably less manifold vacuum off throttle than on the N14. However, since the unit is adjustable there may be a happy middle ground on spring tension that works well.

I have the Kompack Dual Port and I like it. Its adjustable so if you get your turn boost turned up it will hold tighter and not leak through. The Dual port opens to the recirculater side first then to atmosphere. Works off vacuum and has some sort of resister connecter(I'm assuming), to engine harness to not through codes. I haven't had any codes for it.
I like it.

Well I mite be able too but it won't be anytime soon. Going 5 states away for Thanksgiving for a week and have long work days. Plus I'm not a good video taker.

It will be interesting to see if they actually work on the US spec cars. Since it vents to atmosphere the ECU may still throw a check engine light or go into limp mode. This is what we've seen in the past with other spacers or valves that vent to atmosphere.
The UK cars work better with it since their programming is different as their N14 cars don't even have MAFs. So that is likely why they like them.
We've been using the Forge Recirc valves as they are mechanical valves that are vacuum controlled so they hold more pressure and react faster. But since they still recirculate the boost they don't throw a check engine light.

I have actually been using the Forge atmospheric bov for about a year and no CEL. I am interested because the sound is getting a bit annoying. if you install everything right, there shouldn't be any problems. another thing that peaks my interest is that the turbosmart is adjustable and i would like just a little flutter.you know, just a little under high boost.
We do offer the TurboSmart Valve too if someone wants it.

This will be last video because I need to find a good clutch now. Mine broke in this video
I did make a adjustment to the harder side but not much changed. Doesn't real blow off until 5 psi or more. I hit 15-16psi in this video.
