Coolant flush

My first attempt here at posting a thread, so bear with me. I have a 2012 Cooper S Hatchback. I would like to do a radiator flush and fluid change, I have the coolant and distilled water. Problem is I can't find the vent screw that you open for refilling. Does anyone have a picture or a link to one I can view. All I can find are the how too videos etc. of the older engine. I tried the search feature here, aparantly you have to be a lot smarter than I am to actually find anything.

Thanks.

The radiator does not have a vent valve on the bottom to drain. Just unhook the bottom line and get a big pan to catch all the coolant. Then replace with new MINI Blue coolant and of course mix 50/50 with distilled water.

Put the hose back on and fill at the expansion tank cap. Then bleed, bleed , bleed/

Maybe I posed my question incorrectly, I can not find the "bleeder". I got in there with a flashlight and looked and looked. No luck. Where is the darn thing?

Great, thank you. I will search again and look for that. I imagine it's probably hiding in there under things, but I'll find it.

Well I went and tried again, still not finding it. Maybe I need to take off the fresh air tube so I can get a better look. I assume that it is facing up?

Or just bite the bullit and take it to a shop.

I was never able to find the bleeder screw on my 2011 MCS. If you find it, post a pic, if you can get one.

Sorry, Forgot you are the 2012 Cooper ( NON S ) 6/2010 to 3/2012 whom did not have the newest conversion thermostat housing , when MINI changed things up.

If i remember right the bleeder comes out at an angle.

My car is an S model. I gave up though, can't locate it. I'm going to drive up to a mini shop and see if they will show me where the darn thing is.
