Air/fuel gauge tap?

I have an Autometer air/fuel meter laying around and I thought I'd put it in the Mini. My question is, does anyone know which wire is the signal wire on the O2 sensor at the turbo? It has a 6 pin plug. The wires are (1) Black, (1) orange, (2) yellow and (2) white.
I've done a bunch on 1, 2, 3 & 4 wire O2 sensors but I've never seen a 6-wire!

Anybody know?

Thanks in advance guys.

Here's the plug in question.

You guys surprise me! I thought for sure you'd have a quick and accurate answer for me.

Anyway.... I think I have an answer for anyone interested. I went online and found the number of the replacement O2 sensor. I found part #s from Denso, Bosche and Walker Products. I then took their part numbers and contacted the tech support for that manufacturer. So far I've only gotten a reply from Walker Products. Here's their reply:

"I will stick to public domain information. The sensor that screws into the exhaust pipe has 5 wires, let’s start with the heater.

Grey – Heater +
White – Heater ground

The sensor has 2 oxygen cells, one for pumping oxygen, the other for measuring the result of pumping the oxygen. The 2 cells share a common virtual ground.

Yellow – Virtual ground, IPN
Red – Pumping cell, APE
Black – Measurement cell, RE+

The vehicle side mating connector brings out all 5 of these wires plus one more, one end of a trim resistor.

If the system is running correctly, the black wire will always be at a constant value, so it cannot be used to monitor A/F ratio.

Spying on the RED wire might work. But the device that spies on the red wire MUST be a high impedance, 1 Megohm or much higher. Otherwise, the spying will alter the output and your car will not run right."

The colors they are listing are those of the sensor itself, and not on the Mini's wiring harness. I'll have to follow the terminals across the connector to confirm which wire is the one I want, (red).
I haven't heard back from the other suppliers, but when/if I do, I will confirm that the results are the same.

Looks like you have circled the wrong connector in your pic. That one appears to go to the alternator. The upstream 02 sensor is the piece that screws directly into the exhaust manifold. It is in the right center of your pic. The one that has the large hex to screw into the manifold, and the black shielded cable headed directly back towards the valve cover.

No. It's the correct plug. The O2 sensor screws directly into the exhaust manifold (shown on the right side of the pic) and the wire from the sensor goes along to the left and downward then returns back up to the underside of the plug I circled.

You can alway install another bung and sensor for the aftermarket gauge that way you know you not screwing up the reading on the sensor that the ECU uses.

That's not a bad idea! I was planning on doing a resonator delete and I could put it in that pipe!
