Build Thread - MCS 2011.
So, my 2011 black MCS just recently crossed the great modifications & service plan mileage number. Bring on the mods!!
So brake pads and rotors are first up, and then I'm trying to plan (from there), and will need a little help
In Progress:
Brake Pads & Rotors:
- EBC Red Stuff pads
- Zimmerman Rotors (plain old ones)
Planned:
Intercooler:
- Helix Motorsports v2 (Already paid deposit)
Need Help:
Options:
- AEM Cold Air Intake (with hood scoop modifications)
- Forge BOV
- Remap (Not sure on this one yet?!)
- Strut bars (Not sure on this one yet?! likely the CAI will define this.)
- Downpipe (Not sure on this one yet?)
- Exhaust (Not sure on this one yet?)
- Suspension Changes (Not sure where to start here?)
So anyone got some ideas on where to start for the above mentioned parts? or if they're even worth it?

I would ditch the runflats if you haven't already for something stickier
Catless dowbpipe sounds awesome and since you will need a manic tune to get rid of the CEL that's your excuse to get a stage 2 tune from there you will be very happy with the car and it will be very fun to DD and track capable as well.
Exhaust wise maybe just delete the second cat and resonator gives a great sound and could be had for cheap
Intake wise there really aren't any great cheap options horsepower wise it's really just a sound modification

- Intake - Maybe check out M7 Speed MAXX-FLO Cold Air Intake System and aFe Power Magnum Force Stage 2 Systems as other viable options.
- Strut bars - Assuming sway bars? If so, check out the Whiteline rear sway bar. Personally racing on most of their suspension products, I have no complaints.
- Exhaust - Remus Exhaust systems are a great upgrade. I love their sound. (Rumor has it we will have a sale on these exhausts shortly)
- Suspension Changes - Are you wanting to go with a coil over set up or a shock/spring set up? I prefer coils for the adjustable dampening option and height adjustability. Check out ST and ISC coils here. Personally, ST coils are the best bang for your buck coil. They're manufactured by KW so quality is definitely a strong point. Also, look into Powerflex bushings. These bushings offer prolonged tire life, improved performance, better handling and they are more cost-effective than OEM bushings.
Good list so far! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
