R56 Coolant leaking a few drops.

Coolant leaking a few drops.
I am seeing a few drops of what I believe is coolant dripping from the approximate are of the oil fill area. Obviously it's not coming from here but somewhere above it possible. Does anyone have an idea of what and where it is leaking from. I say I believe it's coolant because it's green and smells sweet although the texture is a bit like oil. Any ideas? Thanks Erik

The water pump is on the passenger side of the engine, so if you see drips on the ground near the right front side of the car, that is likely it.
The thermostat housing is on the driver side of the engine, but the transmission housing normally traps fluid from this leak. If you see drips on the ground near the center of the car, it is likely the thermostat housing.
Both of these areas are common failure points and will start leaking after about 4-5 years.
