2010 Cooper (NOT S) R56 SPARK PLUG DISASTER

I have watched all the videos and read everything about changing the spark plugs. Everything says I need a 14mm 12 point thin walled deep socket. I purchased one on line. It will not fit down on the spark plugs in the car. It fits the new spark plugs. I also saw one or two videos that had a 15mm socket.

Can someone please give me a little guidance on this?

We had someone try the 14mm 12 point on aftermarket , non factory plugs here and found out someone stuck aftermarket Denso ones with a hex head not the Beru style 12 points.

We carry the factory style Beru plugs that use the 14mm 12 point socket linked.

So check the head of the spark plug first.

Your R56 MINI Cooper ( NON S ) replacement Plugs are here, there is a split year in 9/2009 also. They take the 14mm 12 point socket also.

When I read "spark plug disaster," I expect a broken plug stuck in the head.
