Starter SMOKING - Need to replace!

Hey All, Saturday story you want? Saturday story you get!

Yesterday, going to shop rite for a salad (yeah...), drove for 5 minutes parked it. 10 minutes after that, go back to the car to restart and head back to work, but FAIL...

I heard the starter forcing like a start that was really slow. Like Ziiiiiiiiiiiioooooo. But not cranking more than once. Then stuck. Tried to kick it with a small hammer with battery disconnected and retried but nothing. It start cranks once slowly and I hear TAC. Every start tried were like this. And then SMOKE out of the starter.
Immediately stopped everything.

Totally sure that the starter is done, easy to change? It's urgent :-(
It's a justa 08 automatic, her name is Georgia and she enjoyed her Friday night on the shoprite parking!

Thanks a lot.

My battery is brand new, changed it last month, and we even jump started the car to make sure. But it is definitely the starter. It is producing white smoke and it is very very hot.

My car has only 78k miles... Normally they last forever!

Anybody knows if it is hard to replace on a R56?
There is absolutely no YouTube video or anything about it!

Checked my Haynes manual. Starter lives under the air filter and does not require removing any major components. Can quote the section if you cannot get any better info.
