R56 DoS Intake Sliding Off... Need a clamp

DoS Intake Sliding Off... Need a clamp
Ok, as the title says, my intake tube is sliding off.
I have the hard JCW intake tube on my '07 S. I've done the turbo inlet flange, intake seals, and intake tube cleaning with brake clean. But with the DoS intake, the thing is slipping off.
I've searched the forums and it appears at one point Clint with DoS was selling T-Bolt clamps for those who needed them. The specs are listed on post #119 HERE.
Here is an easier look at the important part of the post:
Ok also further in the thread mentions the use of McMaster-Carr for the use of other bands that a NAM member needed. But for this application it appears as though McMaster-Carr does not carry the T-Bolt clamp needed.
Does anyone know where I might be able to get a clamp like this? I've searched online and at my local hardware store. It appears the thin band makes this a rare clamp. The band needs to be that thin to stay with in the intake tube groves.
Any help is always appreciated.

I've contacted several clamp suppliers and so far only 2 have responded and with negative results. Still looking for the clamp needed.
In the mean time I have zip tied the intake tube to the engine hook and so far that has been holding pretty well. But I would still prefer a more correct and finished look.

How old in the JCW intake tube? Did you transfer the old gasket to the newer pipe ?
Check the old outside tube connection it might have a crack an damage near the turbo inlet connection. Also check the worm belt clamp threads as when they are over tightening on and off allot they can get chewed up and back off.

Yea, Sounds like there intake design fighting the natural contour of the pipe. Make sure the little gasket and the pipe itself is clean or oil residue. Also did you try a new factory clamp when you switched it over ?

IIRC on some of the first DOS intakes, the filter housing outlet tube which goes to the MAF housing was too long. If this is the case it needs to shortened by just trimming it down (I would use a belt sander). If the DOS filter housing outlet tube is too long it will put stress on the connection to the turbo inlet.

^This is it. I've looked at photos and I would swear my outlet tube on the DoS intake was longer than everybody elses! It's definately one of the first ones out there, because Clint dated it with a sharpie. I have a 3" to 3.25" coupler coming my way from Amazon today, so after work I shall trim and apply the new coupler and hopefully this will end the story.

Yeah I have a temp fix for now. I have a couple large black zip ties around the tube and connected to the engine hook ring right by the vacuum pump. It's been holding fine ever since. Now I have purchased a couple items to resolve the issue correctly. I have yet to install them. I wanted to do it in 2 stages to see if one is enough or if you need both. I'll update when I get this done. I'll try to stop being lazy. I burned myself out last week installing a ton of crap on the car, so I'm taking a break.
I'll update once I get this going. Sorry for the delay.

If you still have issues you can switch to the Forge N14 silicone intake pipe , it has a different design and beefer clamp. Also does not have that double sleeve. We fitted it withe the ECS CF Intake and it was fine.

me, too --
I ALSO have a DoS CAI on a stock inlet tube, and that stock tube keeps slipping off at the turbo end of the assembly ...
1. Yeah, I also put a Big Honking Ziptie on mine, around the tube and through the engine hook, which is holding so far.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought of this (ugly) hack --
2. Anybody here try THIS product to keep their intake-tube on the turbo? http://www.detroittuned.com/detroit-...-inlet-flange/
It looks like you hafta heat it up to force-fit it to the turbo, and gives you a nice hard LIP to help the hose-clamp:
Follow-up: sorry; just found the thread discussing DT's product: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...rbo-inlet.html

Yep. The replacement factory clamp and check connection would be the first thing to try.
