Getting speedo back in place after removal

So I took apart my dash to add bluetooth, and I can't get the damned speedo trim to reseat correctly. How the HELL do I get it to go back in place!???! Looked at all of the vids/diys i could find. Everybody is all over taking the dash apart, then finish it with "Ok, now just put everything back on." Wut?

I tipped the rear of the trim in first, then tried to seat it. Gets almost there, but not quite.

I've had my dash apart a few times and have not had trouble putting things back together. You're going to have to take it apart and try again. You don't have something lined up correctly. May be the wire to the hazard button is in the way?

Sorry I haven't been much help but there is no trick to speak of.
