That 1 sec delay in acceleration.....(manual)

Looking for a fix for this......? Sometimes when shifting up or down there seems to be a 1 sec delay in acceleration after applying the gas.

Have you tried using the "Sport" mode?

tried sport mode

Sport mode was the first my first "go-to"

I tried to recreate the issue purposely......it seems to happen pending what RPM im at when I shifting......which makes since but weird...Ive never owned an automatic.....have always had stick......Im thinking I might just have to shift at a higher rmp? lol or just use this as a reason to put in an intake?

so it is automatic? probably a combination of the transmission, programming, and slow drive by wire. sprint booster might work for you

There is a delay in the response of the throttle as programmed. The sprint booster is an aftermarket product for reducing this delay. Most tunes (the old accessport or more modern versions) also correct this.

If you go with an accessport (out of production, about $500 on the marketplace), let me know, I have a nice tune for it. The tuning is tempermental to get the shifting smooth with the auto.

Have fun,
Mike

My 2010 MCS (bought used in 2012) had an annoying accelerator delay that I lived with for a couple of years. After the pedal module was replaced last summer due to a faulty signal, the delay has not been as pronounced.

The delay is built into the ECU from the factory to keep Grandma from accidently pulling into traffic with too twitchy of a throttle.

The Sprint Booster or an ECU tune are the two best options to improve the response for you.
