White smoke from engine bay

Hi all,
Lemme just start by saying I have a '07 MCS

Last week my oil supply line failed and there was white smoke coming from the engine bay. I took it to a BMW specialist auto shop and they said that the failed line was the source of the smoke and that oil got everywhere all over the engine bay. They replaced the line for me and I went on my merry way.

I've been driving all week with no problems what so ever until today. I got to my destination and white smoke started to come from the engine bay again. I opened the hood and the oil supply line was perfect. No visable leaking or oil anywhere. I drove it some more and there was no more smoke when I got to my next destination.

Do you think it's just excess oil? Or an underlying problem?

Any help is appreciated. Educated answers are even more appreciated. Thanks in advance

Most likely residual oil hiring off....
But coolant CAN make white smoke that smells kinda funny...so look around, and check your fluid levels....
If it continues, bring it back in, get it looked at!!

Thanks for the quick reply! Just checked the coolant levels and it is A ok. Still haven't seen smoke since that one time. It was a couple minutes after start up too just FYI.
