So as the title suggests I am looking for my old Mini. It is a total shot in the dark. Originally located in Richmond VA area. Sold in 2010 (Mid/Late) Just wishing someone has seen it or the current owner is a member here and been seen (My best shot obviously).

Back story: I was with my first wife and was told to "Sell the Mini because we were starting a family". Later to find out she went through a lot to insure that we did not. We got divorced. Anyway new wife, better life, stability and I need my old Mini back in my life.

Unique things about the car to narrow it down:
See sig,
Carbon Headlight rings, Taillight rings, Gas cap, and Side Scuttle.
At the time of sale it had BBS's.
It also had a 4 channel infinity amp and infinity kappa speakers.
It was a 2007 auto but I later added the JCW tuning kit.

I know this is a long shot but it can't hurt me to make a post. Thanks for any and all help.

 

Good luck to you in your search for "your" MINI. Did you run a Carfax on the VIN?

 

Carfax VIN: Great idea! Due to multiple moves my records are no so good. I can and will call the original dealer and get it on Monday.

 

No need to call the dealer, go to carfax.com. Plug in the vin, pay your dollars and get the report. Won't say who has it, but will at least tell you the last state it was registered in and some other info.

 

I think that he knows that. However, it sounds like he had turmoil in his life and no longer has a record of the VIN.

I'm curious as to what you plan to do should you locate it? Harass the new owner until they agree to sell it to you?

Did your ex get it in the divorce and you are using NAM members to unwittingly help you locate and stalk her?

Why not just go out and and buy a new MINI and mod it how you want, even duplicating what you did before if you liked it that much?

Sorry, but once sold, it is no longer "your" MINI.

How does this relate to stalking his ex-wife? The car was sold to Owner 2 on May 29, 2010 by Richmond BMW in Richmond, VA...not by his ex-wife.

Furthermore, from the start, he stated that it's a long shot:

Good luck in your search. I get to the Forest area occasionally and will keep an eye out for it. If I see it I'll let you know on this thread, but I won't contact the individual for this express purpose.

 

Plan: If I ever did see it or contact the owner. I would offer them more money then they prob owe and inform him that new ones are way better and they should sell me this old and busted one.

Why not buy a new one: Obviously you never had a connection to a car.

Pics of the ex: You see I am trying to get the car back not the ex right?
