What is this fuse?

Can anyone identify this fuse on my R56 Mini? There is no fuse installed so I assume it to be for an option I don't have but power is running to the circuit. It is powered with the key on and stays on for a little while after shutting down.

Is it safe to use this to power accessory lights?

F3 Fuse

What fuse panel are you talking about and what year is your Mini. in my Bentley Service manual on 12/2008 and on, it just states not used. Let me know if you can hook your lights up to it since I need a source for my after market fog lights. Also according to the service manual, F4, F9, and F10 are not used. These are all in the Junction box.

Mine is a 2009 base R56. This is in interior fuse block.

Here's the rest of the panel.

F3, F7, and F43 all have the same picture but I don't know what this is a picture of.

Most of the info I have found indicates that is the symbol for trailer electronics.

I found one source that says fuse F3 is for the headlight washer. I tend to doubt that though since the same symbol is on three slots and I can't see headlight washers needing three different fuses/circuits.

F3 fuse

The inside panel is called the Junction box. So according to the Bentley, it is unused, just like F4, F 9 F10 F39, F37, F31, .

This applies to all Mini from 12/2008 on
