R56 07 Cooper s Mods

Short shifter, suspension (thicker rear sway bar, springs, shocks), boost and temp gauges, oil dipstick that is actually legible, non-runflat tires if you haven't already swapped them out, turbo muffler delete, ecu tune (preferably a professional dyno tune). All that will cost you a pretty penny but it'll be worth it if you're looking to get the most out of the car. My $.02.

Your list is too long and in perfect honesty it depends what you want to do with your car. You're just asking to be confused posting something like this on NAM.
Call TJ at Detroit Tuned and they can set you on the right track.

I also have an '07 MCS and I have to say my 2 favorite mods have been
#1. Rear swaybar. This made the car feel very nimble. I had an R53 with sport suspension prior to my R56 and was a little dissapointed on how much body roll there was. After installing my Hotchkis H-Sport rear sway bar that dissapointment is gone.
#2. Engine Torque Arm Insert. NM Engineering and Powerflex both sell these. There is also a full replacement available from BSH. Again when going from the R53 to the R56 when taking off from a stop or a slower speed 1-2 shift the vehicle, for the lack of a better word, bounced into gear. I felt like I started driving a manual car all over again. Once this was replaced the shifts were crisp and without a jerking sensation. It felt very solid.
Those are my top 2, do right now kind of mods. One is very cheap. The other, not too bad. Another 2 mods I'm very pleased with would be my NM Engineering Downpipe back exhaust and my Battle/DNA Tune. The exhaust gave it a great note when driving, and the Tune really woke up the car.
Do those first 2 then move on from there.

I agree with Countryboy above, you need to provide more ideas on the things that you don't like (or want to improve) with your car.
One thing that cannot be underestimated is to make sure the maintenance is done on the car. 07 was the first year, and several issues have become common failures on these engines, especially the early ones like yours. Do some research on the following issues:
- Timing chain/tensioner (rattle on cold start)
- HP fuel pump (failure)
- Aux water pump recall (fire potential)
- Carbon Cleaning (this gets bad and can result in significant problems)
- Coolant Leaks (thermostat, water pump, coolant resevoir)
- Oil leaks (turbo oil line, oil filter housing, valve cover)
- spark plugs at 60k, watch for failed coil packs
I'm sure that I'm forgetting something, but my point is that these cars need more than basic maintenance before you look at making improvements on the car.
Reply back with your areas of improvement and your budget, and you will get some useful info.
Have fun,
Mike
