Corner balancing makes the suspension neutral to where it accounts for your weight.

Aaaaaaahhhhh!!! My seats don't come in until next Monday, which means I wouldn't get them installed, if I'm lucky, until next weekend.

You ever perform a compression test on your cylinders?

I see a lot of this "traffic" over on the Manic threads. I don't need to get compression testing when things are fine here.

Not enough time this weekend to install both seats, but I did my side and I'm happy to say....THEY'RE AWESOME!

Really supportive and not uncomfortable for my long commute to work. I will say, that they sit a bit higher than the stock seats at their lowest settings, so I'll have to get used to sitting a bit higher than usual. With the CAE shifter, it feels like it's really at a perfect height and had I had the old Craven SSK at the lowest setting, I would have hated it because it feels so much further to reach.

Anyways....

that's my set up and it IS a reach ... enough so I've considered going back to the stock shifter height.

Looks good! What did you do with your drivers side seat position sensor (mounted on the seat rail) ?

Yeah, mounted on the seat rail.

I figure this would be a noteworthy bit of information because I could imagine it being a bit of an issue for shorter gents that lack a bit of reach especially if the Craven SSK is at it's lowest possible setting. I mean I drove a friend's Craven SSK equipped MINI recently and I forgot how crazy low it was having driven around in the CAE for so long now. Fantastic seat, but I can definitely tell the side bolster will wear further. How has your seat been holding up?

Yeah, mounted on the seat rail.
interesting, mine wouldn't fit there, when the seat slid forward it hit the sensor, I tried flipping it to the other side and ran into a similar fitment issue. glad yours fit!

How has your seat been holding up?
Held up well so far, I've had it about a year, I don't drive the car daily but I do drive it often. I'm a shorter guy so when I get out of the car I do put some of my weight on the outside bolster and it shows no visible signs of wear yet.

Correction, you're right it did, so i just ziptied it underneath, it wasn't a big deal. As long as it was connected underneath. Still got loads of work to do on the MINI, but when you work 13+ hours a day, where do you find the time to give attention to the wife and the MINI, you know?
