Rennline "RS" Style Door Pull Straps

I was wondering if I could get your guys' opinion on the Rennline door straps? I downloaded the PDF file showing the installation process just to get an idea of what I would be dealing with....looks a bit intimidating. If anyone here has installed these on their own how hard was it to swap them out with the original door handles? I was also wondering how well they functioned; do they have any problems catching/sticking or anything like that? I love the looks, and they are a unique mod you dont see too often.....and for about $100 on OM's site I'm really considering making a purchase.

The first one took about 45 mins slowly following the instructions. The second one took about 10. The hardest part was wedging the window channel open enough to fit my big hand in there to connect the rod.

They work fine, just like the original handle.

I ordered a 8x12 sample of carbon fiber vinyl and overlaid it onto the brushed aluminium back plate. The brushed metal just didn't look right. I also took some sandpaper and eased all the metal edges to prevent chaffing the pull. (the metal plate is waterjet cut, and had some sharp edges.

That doesn't sound too bad at all! I also really like your solution to covering the brushed aluminum backplates....they just don't look like they blend in well enough for me, even just looking at the pics online. I may also do some vinyl or black paint to help it blend in.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it!

Did these myself for my R58 when I first purchased the car. They are pretty awesome!

I installed these as well. The first one was a pain. I believe Rennline also and a video on Youtube of the install...

Wasn't too bad. But they are worth a little elbow grease

I make sure you have the rod attached correctly.
