^ I know I know. The very last thing I would want is to break a rule of the internet. Could end badly for me. I'm in the mist of plasti dipping the F&R emblems and redoing my door handles and then I will post some updated pics.

Does anyone know where I can get the roof wrapped in gloss black vinyl for less than the 350 bux I was quoted. Located around the Chicago area. Id do it myself but it took me 2+ hrs to put stripes on the car and then around 3hrs to put headlight film on the car hahaha. And they still arent perfect. Or is 350 the going rate nowadays?

Yeah I thought about that but I dont really want a matte finish. Prefer a glossy look. And for this large of a piece, I think vinyl would be much more durable. I know they make a glossifier product but I've used it and it makes it look really grainy. I have alot of plasti dipped pieces on the car already and know Ive had to do multiple touch ups on a few things.

So i recently installed a alta intake on the car and am getting a suction noise after i shift and hear the oem bov go off. It's kinda weird and have never heard it before with any other car I've had with an intake. When I installed the intake i connected the fresh air pipe to the bottom part of the intake shroud like instructed to do but the other side is left open (on the filter side). If that makes any sense. It doesnt do it all the time but randomly itll do it rite after the bov goes off. Wondering if this is normal? Thanks.

Curious if anyone knew about the ? I posted above. I still have the problem and the more and more it happens the more and more I dont think its suppose to happen. Curious to see if maybe it could be compressor surge?

Lil bit of a update. In the last month Ive taken off the yellow headlight film as it just wasnt working for me anymore. Also just got a Riss Racing Catless DP. Still have the surge of air problem, but a buddy of mine thinks maybe I have a boost/vacuum leak somewhere. Which could make sense cause I was having problems getting the intake on and could of moved a lot of stuff to get it to fit.

Havent updated this thing in a while... but a few new additions that I just ordered were some ST Coilovers from a fellow member on here. I also picked up some 16X8 XXR 530 wheels as well. Can't wait till it starts getting nicer out to put them on.

Are you certain the suction noise isn't actually a blowing noise associated with the BOV releasing boost between shifts?

I have heard the ALTA intake does allow more intake noises to be heard than say the stock intake. I have a AEM CAI and I still hear a lot of sounds associated with the intake...all is probably well.

Yeah I'm not really sure to be honest... its to the point that I think that I may have created a vacuum leak when I installed the intake. Its a hissing/surging of air it sounds like after you hear the OEM BOV. Never heard the sound before on any other car I've ever had a intake on. I've tried to recheck all the connections thinking maybe something was loose.. but everything is snug and tight.

I also have another question for the mechanics out there. So I was an idiot and when I installed my CBE I mustuve really overtightened the OEM V band from the downpipe to mid pipe and can't get it off now. Now whenever I try and loosen it, the other end just spins. I've tried putting a open ended wrench on that end to stop the spinning but nothing has worked. Wondering if there is anything else I could try to get it loosened and off?

Well on my way to work the other day one of my headlights decided to stop working apparently so I ordered a set of Phillips Crystal Vision Ultra's. Saw someone with them on here (in the what have you done to your mini today thread) and instead of going the HID route and getting projectors, I just thought I'd change the halogens. Also picked up some PIAA extreme white parking lights as well. Should compliment the halogens nicely.

I also only need 1 more part to be set for spring when I can install my coils/RLCA/wheels/tires and be done with the car for a little bit. All I need are some tuner lug bolts for the wheels. Cant wait for nice weather to come around.

Also I finally got my Riss Racing Catless downpipe on the other day... and still have a little bit of a exhaust leak but think that I just need to crank on the v band a lil bit more or maybe get a 3" v band. The thing is loud as hell!! Almost unbearable when you really get on it... it shakes the rear glass. I dont know if its the exhaust leak or what.. but I plan on trying to fix it on my next day off. If the exhaust leak doesnt quiet it down a little bit then I will prolly be forced to remove the downpipe and put the stock one back on.

Haha nice... yeah the only time I get on there is to try and sell off the rest of the parts I had for mine. Funny you say traded for better gas mileage and your hatred for the auto tranny cause that is EXACTLY why I traded mine in to. Plus it was around that time for all the expensive maintenance to be done. What color did you end up getting?

Any plans for the car yet? I know your LGT was pretty modified... I believe at one point it was the poster child for what I wanted to do with my LGT to. But just never got around to it.
