Where are you getting your MINI replacement parts?
I used eeuroparts.com for my saab, great price on most of the parts with free shipping above 50$. they have very limited parts for 07-up MINIs
I will need to order oil/air filters, etc
Any reputable MINI part suppliers with great pricing?
sounds like you are looking for maintenance parts but anyway
MOSSMINI.COM
MINIMANIA.COM
are two ... but for many parts, if not too far from a dealer it is just as well to go there . . .
{I stick with the OEM oil filters . . . over the years there have been too many problems with non-oem for my tastes}
oil??? Wally World or Target or any auto part store
Capt bj lists my first choices for maintenance parts. Also Outmotoring.com is starting to carry parts. They're normally at full dealer prices, but there's the occasional sale.
Here in AZ, there aren't too many auto parts stores that carry MINI components, but we've had some luck with BAP Import Parts and NAPA - if you have any in your neck of the woods.

I go to my local auto part store get a discount because of a hook up and he special orders all my parts. So I spend around 15% to 20% less then what MINI wants. The downside is I have to wait for the parts to come in and run the risk that it might be the wrong part.
parts.com cheapest prices for BMW Group OEM parts I have found.

WAY - OEM oil filter for a GEN2 (not sure if that includes a plug seal) $11.00 and presumably plus shipping.
MOSS - OEM filter includes plug seal $10.95 - plus shipping
MiniMania - for OEM $13.95 and for MANN $11.01 and multi paks of either reduce the cost (plus shipping)
as best I recall when I last picked up filters at the dealer they were under $10 each - no shipping - but the dealer is an hour drive
++++++++++
I usually will order things like filters when ordering something 'larger' which usually means for my '79. Getting a couple of filters tossed in means that there is no shipping. Note that I might want a handful of filters a year because I support a handful of MINI friends by doing their oil changes in my garage and I pickup the filters for them. By thinking ahead I can have a couple of filters on the shelf - GEN1, GEN2 and even for the 79, and my Hondas . . . .
I use MiniMania - yes their prices are often a bit higher - and in my '79 part searches they typically can deliver the part in a fraction of the time any other supplier can. Am I willing to pay a couple of dollars for that? Well, if not, no one would ever use Fedex over US mail standard service. Yes that is important to me and THEN tossing a couple of filters in the box IS cost effective.
