Ok its taken me soooooo long to finally get the 19mm H&R sway bar I purchased a month ago and springs installed! I had someone I know install it and H&R springs but I was wondering if anyone could help describe to me what it was supposed to feel like or what it did (referring to the sway bar here, besides the obvious lowering springs). I honestly just got it because I read so many people saying how it was supposed to be a great mod and a must have for my 07 MC S. So,... now that I have it what’s it supposed to feel like?
If I had to describe it all I can say is that after going into a few turns I am much much more cautious! It doesn’t feel like I can take turns as tight anymore. I thought the sway bar was so you could taking tighter turns..... Maybe I was wrong, or maybe I just don’t have it on the right setting. What would be the best setting for a much tighter turning experience? And since I’ve read so many posts on here lets say for vantage point purposes, I’m looking at the sway bar and hole 3 is the last one towards the rear of the car and whole 1 is towards the engine out of 3. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS QUESTION PLEASE? I was looking on the forum to see if there was already an answer but there is so much jargon i wasnt sure which hole was which! not really concerened with %'s just looking for a better, tighter turns for my new adjustable 19mm sway bar.
Since you put in both springs and sway bar at the same time, it's hard to say which is causing the effect. Did you get a wheel alignment for the new springs?
BTW, are you sure that your sway bar is H&R? The H&R 19mm bar only has two positions.
Could it be an H-sport anti-sway bar? It has three holes. The closest hole to rear is the softest setting (IIRC). This would be the hole closest to the end of the bar. This would be my recommendation for street.
The effect of a stiffer rear sway bar and/or stiffer setting will be to decrease the margin of safety before the rear swings out. A stiff setting will give you snap-oversteer. This might be useful for AutoX for an experienced driver. Usually not such a good thing to have on the street.
Lowering springs can change they suspension geometry from what it was designed to be, and change the way the car handles. Lowering springs are for looking bada$$ when cruising. Unless you are a master at suspension geometry, and can tune it all the way you want it, don't expect it to improve handling.

I believe what you are feeling is the effect of the lowering springs changing your alignment. You have added negative camber, by lower your car. That has also added toe in to the front end. An alignment should make you much happier.
The hole to the rear of the bar is its softest setting.
In the future try an only do one mod at a time. That way you can tell if it has helped or hurt performance.
