MINI ROLLS ROYCE

BMW is set to give the green light to ultra luxury version of the mini which will be trimmed at the Rolls Royce factory in goodwood.
Highly placed sources at BMW have told autocar UK that the cars will
"totally individual" and the project is seeking to create "niche vehicles" for
customers.
It's likely that the options will extend beyond trim materials and could see
buyers encouraged to commission genuine coachbuilt features such as new interior fittings.

Yes please kill the rattles, add soundproofing and make the door handles/covers more solid.

How much added weight will be allowed in a Rolls Royced MINI? If you get too far above 3000lb is it still a MINI and what would drive/stopping/ride/wear and tear be like? Will there be a re-engendered fat chassis?

Besides soundproofing, what would they be doing that would add that much weight? Solid gold fixtures seems unlikely.

Read the OP. It indicates that buyers will be "encouraged" to add almost anything which could include gold fixtures.

I assume the ultimate bespoke MINI would be quite heavy, with it's champagne cooler, hardwood glass cabinet, air conditioned massaging seats, humidor, ect.

Does a price greater than 50k turn a Mini into a Maxi?

I bet they will sell for way more than $50k. They will become instant collector's cars.

I wish they'd pour their money into R&D to get that turbo Prince engine cold start knock problem under control, instead of this extravagance.

If I want a Rolls I'll go a get a 100% English used one for under $40K

Sounds nice! I'm hoping the paint job also lives up to the Rolls standards and has as many layers of paint and clear coat. Ideally available 2-tone or in other colors, of course.
