"Carfun Footprint" Grill Badge Application

I donated to MINI's recent environmental programs, and received one of their "Carfun Footprint" grill badges as a thank-you. Problem is, no instructions came as to how to mount the badge on the grill! It came on a card as shown in the photo, and has a circular adhesive strip on the back (this is a fairly weighty metal badge...no cheap plastic here). They show the badge "mounted" to a Cooper grill on the card, but mention nothing on how to mount it or whether or not the grill badge holder is required!

Do I just stick it on and hope that it holds? I'd love to put it on my Cooper, but am afraid that it will fall off faster than I stick it to the grill!

Has anyone else received this badge and installed it?

Thank you!

Just like any other badge, you need a badge holder for the grill.

You can pick up one of those badge holders at the dealership for about $20 a pop, or you could make your own with elevator bolts, which could be found at hardware stores (although they would likely rust).

Update: The painted, yellow portion of my carfun badge has worn off already! 6 months on the car, and it now looks like crap! I stuck onto the back of the hatch next to the licensce plate, and will have to remove it come spring with a hairdryer and some elbow grease.

Thumbs-down for sub-quality badges!!!!

FYI-I found a spare sheet of that magnetic plastic that most motoring badges are made out of and cut out a circle in same shape. Stuck Car Fun badge to that and holds great
