Factory Alarm.. it beeps when activated?

Quick alarm question.. when you activate or deactivate the factory it sounds a beep? or horn? lights goes on and off too?

and what happen if you don't have the alarm.. the car sounds the horn or a beep? and what about the lights?

I' asking because I'm kind have a problem when closing cars.. I always lock the car several times.. my present car it beeps.. no problem.. but if it uses the horn it's going get annoying to hear the horn 3-4 times every time I lock the car..

On mine, you can set it up the way you want. Sound on/off and/or lights on/off. The sound is not real loud.

No alarm, I set it to blink when locking, that tells me I've done it. When I'm not sure I'll unlock it, see it blink then lock it and see it blink again.

COKen got it. With the factory alarm you can set what type of arming alert you want.

If you don't have the factory alarm, you can still custom activate/deactivate the four-way flash alert when the car locks. It's good enough for me. There is no sound option without the factory alarm.

You can turn everything off so that all you will hear is the actuators.

Someguy forgot to mention...No Alarm...No Panic Button!!

I have the Factory Alarm, I have set mine to do both the Beep Sound and the Lights Flash. When the Alarm is activated by either the Comfort Access Button on the either Door, it Beeps once and the Lights Flash once. When unlocked by both methods the Lights Flash twice and there are two Beeps.

Without the factory alarm you cannot set it to make a sound, only flash the lights.
