Key Fob Slot Removal?

So im in the process of removing all of my colorline trim (switching colors), and I have all the pieces out except the trim that holds the key slot. I got the colorline trim unscrewed from the dash board but how do I unplug the key slot/engine start holder so I can mount it into the new trim piece?

Cheers!

If you have the colorline trim piece that holds the key fob loose then turn it around and there are three tiny Allen screws that hold the key fob slot to the trim piece.

Did you pull off the plastic trim that the fob snaps into?

It just pops off. There is a clip on each side. You have to take that off in order to remove the fob reader from the trim.

Here's a writeup of how to retro the chrome line interior. Basically it's the same procedure just a few more screws to remove and the speedo doesn't need to be removed.
