Dealer Programing

I've read about what a dealer can do that we can't from the settings menu. What all can they do on a 2008 MCS?

They've got a new program that should help with the window roll up issues that I've been having. I took my 08 S in last week and it took 2hrs. to re-program the car. I'm not sure what else is in the latest program. The car runs great as always!

The windows are equiped with an anti pinch feature. Rolling down the windows with ice on them can set this feature off and in my case the window wouldn't go up and stay up. It would come down half way, and I'd have to baby it up in order to get it to stay there. Last week my passenger window wouldn't stay up with out babying it manually, so I took in into the dealer for them to re-program. They told me that they have a new program that is supposed to fix the glitch. I'm not sure if the sun roof runs off the same program, but take it in and get it fixed.... Good luck! Peter

My car has been in the dealership for window related problems three times since I got it. It is only a year old.

Last time they suggested that if it stopped working properly again, I might just have to live with it.

That is totally unacceptable. I'd find another dealer to work with you. Or call the higher up's. When it's something like that there is no "just have to live with it" I could understand if something didn't work like you wanted it to but not technically wrong but this...well you've read what i thinkg

Sorry to hijack this thread, but it's funny how these things work out. I think you and I have essentially the same car ('08 MC), but I've had no window issues whatsoever. The dealer here in London did say that if I ever did, to call in and they'd put new window motors in, no problem. Haven't needed to take him up on that offer yet, however.
