Sheeeeee's done (99.9999%)

Okay, this is the last thread, she's done. (not sure if he's a he or she) Still don't have a name.

Installed the springs yesterday.
Installed the JCW kit today.
Tinted the rear taillights.
Installed my OZ wheels
Clearbra
Installed Minidomore hitch.
tinted windows.

Other than a few "mini" things to do (xm, etc)

Sorry for the crappy pics, cell phone.

Nicely done, now go pick up those wheels and ship'm.

I like the lowering and wheels against the yellow.

Those OZ wheel caps rock. And the JCW brakes look good behind the wheels.

Post some lap times from the weekend or at least some track lapping pictures.

Yeah, I know....lol.

I've still got a bunch of little things to do. The only "big" thing left is a new tune to write over the JCW tune.

Tomorrow, hopefully the retrofit brake duct kit comes in. I'd really like to have it before I hit the track this weekend.

A black beltline would look A+ on your car mate (nivce choice on the body color trims instead of black). Great looking R56! Btw, a joey mod would look excellent on your ride, just a thought (and some tinted side reflectors).

What did u use to tint the rear tailights? How much light shines through?

The tint is a few drops of black basecoat dropped into clear binder. Then it is cleared afterwards.

As dark as it seems, the brakes shine through great. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

Thanks guys, still got a bit to do but it's almost done.... tomorrow I'll install the retrofit brake duct kit (just in time since I'm leaving to Roebling Road track in GA tomorrow)

I'm playing with a stripe idea but none that I have ever seen on a mini. I really wanted to try it this week but I've had too much to do to get the car ready for this weekend.

Last but not least, I'm going to modify one of the JCW Clubman spoiler's for the rear and make it fit for the coupe.

Definitely a noticeable difference. The best way I can describe it even more than when I went from an "S" to the JCW stage I kit. Well, the difference is even more pronounced than that between the stage I kit and the stage II JCW.

Had I known it was that big of a difference, I would have bought a JCW in the first place.

Oh, and by the way.... just to show you guys what crappy luck I have.... This last Monday I took my car to get the clear bra put on it. I only had them install it on the hood, mirrors and headlights.

I was still painting my aerokit so I couldn't install the clear bra yet.

Today, I took it back for them to do the painted headlight rings and front cover and guess what???

They chipped/gouged my freshly painted headlight trim ring. Since I painted them Monday, I made sure I baked them in the oven at 160 degrees for 40 minutes to make sure they would be cured for today.

They somehow slipped with a knife and took a chunk out of the paint.

Go figure.

I don't have the specs off hand but they are the 17x7 OZ Ultraleggra's from tirerack.

They weigh like 14.2 or 14.5 lbs. I don't remember the offset.

Mark, very, very nice! Were those black-out lights hard to do (for the non-body-shop-type)

Hey is "Barney" yours too (the background purple Jeep in one of your other recent photos).

Hey Ric,

No, if you can spray, then you can do the tint...

Actually, Barney is Pepto Bismol pink. She belongs to my wife.
