I have an 07 MCS and it is currently at the dealer. I got an 08 MCS as a loaner car and noticed a few small differences. For one the noise the car makes when you leave your key in it or don't have you seat belt on is much less annoying. The other thing i noticed is that when you turn the cruse controle on, and you don't have the digital spedo up, it shows you what speed the cruse controle is set at. I figure these are just programed into the cars and was woundering if i can get them in my 07. Can you just up date the firmware and get these new fetures? If not how come? It seams like it should be easy to get these features in the old 07s.
Late '07 and '08 came with different TPMS that have RF Transmitters located in the wheels (look for metal valve stems w/plastic caps).
'08 also has auto-up windows, both sides and it has been reported that this would not 'retro-fit' to the '07.
No idea about the Cruise Control Display or the key-in-car chime.
Since it's there, ask your SA about a firmware flash.
