About Your 2nd Gen MINI Videos

I came across this link the other day. Yeah, they are sort of corny but for those that didn't get a detailed run-through of how stuff works in their 2nd gen Mini at delivery or for those who aren't into studying the manual, these videos might be of some use.

The rear wiper "amnesia" comment cracks me up. Mini should just fix it.

These are great videos. I read through the manual several times and it still took me a few weeks to get used to everything.

These really need to be stickyed over in 1st gear, unless they already are of course.

Great links to follow especially if you're a Motoring Advisor and a client has a question post-delivery - point to the proper video and you're good to go.

I've only driven my car in the rain twice now. The last time was a good heavy rain for a 4 hour trip. I was finally able to figure out the rear wiper control and the rear wash/wipe settings on this trip. The stalk confused me on the rear wiper since the wash setting is available in both directions.

After that trip in heavy rain, I see why there is a rear wiper and washer. Otherwise I would have had zero visibility out the back!

Many thanks for the link as I am a new first time owner of a 2007 Cooper. I just had my wife watch it and she said it was a big help.

These videos are helpful! I had to reset my computer a few times because my tire light kept coming on when there were severe drops in the temp. I kept calling my dealer and having a service guy walk me through it. I found a video on how to reset it and after watching her do it once, I know how to do it now.

Hey! My sig is awesome? It's got nothin on yours! Yowza! And a Laurel edition? Those were not available in Canada. We never get the "cool" special editions. I'm totally jealous! (seriously... don't drive it to Canada... I'll make you leave it here.) hahaha

ps. Love your driving lights! I had an appointment to get some installed today at my dealership but they called me and said they had to cancel because my dark grey colour line dash switch was on back order... grrrr...

Oh-- and since this is a thread about those videos...

I'm pissed off that my 09 doesn't have an indicator light on the tach to show that my auto sensing wiper function is on. That was a good call on MINI's part to add that.

Don't know why I opened this thread because I'd skimmed the videos earlier. But this quote sent me back looking and low and behold, THAT is how you activate intermittent wipers...which is NOT what the 2007 manual says. Thank you!
