R56 Condensate?

Condensate?
'07 S Auto. So my wife backs out of the garage (for the second or third time today) and there is a small puddle on the floor. It seems clear but it is really "slick" between my fingers. No real odor but I am wondering if it is just condensate. She said the air conditioner did come on today (probably the first time since last year). I jacked it up and it appears (did not go to far under it) it is coming from straight above the interior boot on the passenger side front wheel. It is hitting the boot and dripping off. Appears to be the same area on the floor from previous condensate dripping. The timing belt was changed and I can see they had the coolant pipes off but doesn't antifreeze have some color and sweet smell? Just wondering why condensate might feel a little slick between the fingers other than if it is picking up something from the timing belt change and will clear soon. Any thoughts? Thanks.

If it is condensation you should may see it dripping slightly after a drive where you've had the A/C on. -After your next drive see if you can see it drip? Also is the color perfectly clear? Oil in our Mini's is pretty clean and can look almost clear (w/ a slight brown tint). -yet it's slick. I ask because my mini had a leak at the turbo inlet hose (the nut wasn't tightened enough from the factory).

yes...covered. We were actually kind of smart and stretched the coverage to 50,000 when we bought it. Front brakes have already been done under it so it has about paid for itself. I am sure we will make out ok from the looks of this thing. It could go away tomorrow and I wouldn't care. Fun car but holy crap! Timing chain, water pump, melted hood scoop, what's next? We got rid of an Acura TSX with 60,000 miles and never a hiccup for this heap.

Good to know. Yeah, MINIs are quirky. I bought a non-S mostly because I thought I didn't need the get up and go of an S, a justa suits me just fine... so no hood scoop to worry about, but that is a known problem with these cars too. Sorry to hear you've had three icky issues in a row in 35k.

That is good idea, until you are in an area that does not smell so nice.
