Mushrooming Strut towers.

I have been reading about mushrooming of strut towers, and was wondering if this was a problem for the R56?

Should I invest in some strut tower defenders of is it not a problem for the R56?

Thanks !!!

The strut towers are stronger on the R56, and I've not heard of any reports of a muchrooming R56.

M7 makes them for the R56 and soon will make the support bar to connect across the engine if you want to add it.

With my 18 x 215 x 35's low profiles, H & R springs and sway bar and the crappy roads, have made for some heavy duty bumps. I've wondered if there would be a need for some protection.

I don't know, but can't see how it would hurt to have M7 plates and strut. However, it does sound like you could use some protection for your tail bone.

Craven Speed also offers STDs, though I don't know that anyone has reported this to be an issue yet on the newer models.
