New and Shiny!

Hey Everyone!

I got my new wing a few days ago and since it was so nice today, I took the opportunity to give my Mini the wash he's been deserving! I know this wing style isn't everyone's cup of tea but I actually really dig it! The more I've been looking at it, the more I like it. I like the way it goes with the car giving it that little bit more aggressive look since it stands out more than the regular S wing.

Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks,
Celia

Also, here's a picture I took today of the headlight with the Joey-mod where you can see into the headlight really clearly since the sun was shining into it...

Nice job! Not my "cup of tea" as you say, but it does look sharp and aggressive.

Cool wing. Your car could almost be a Scalextric Slot Car! I like the Black-out trim look. Funny that MINI doesn't offer that as an option, since BMW has for a long time... it's called "Shadowline". Your headlights look great, along with the wheels!

Very nice. I really like the wing. Much better than the JCW wing for sure.

Thanks for the compliments and feed back everyone! Like I said, I think with this wing style, you either like it or you don't! I also think that people might form a different opinion of it seeing it in person on a car vs. seeing in in the photo. I don't think you can really appreciate it in the photos as it looks much hotter in person!

My significant other was really against me getting it because he's not crazy about that style of wing on a Mini. However, I went ahead and got it and once we installed it, he said he thought it actually didn't look too bad. Then about a day later he said he actually liked the way it looked as it grew on him!

The wing is made by Palo Uber and they have it listed on their website priced at $900 for the R56 BUT if you email or call them and talk to them, they'll most likely be able to offer you a discount. If I remember correctly, I got mine from them for around $750. So it is more expensive than the JCW wing but not by a whole lot and I would definitely pay the extra not to have a high pitched whistle!

It does mount to the factory holes so there's no need to redrill or anything like that. There are 5 factory bolts but the wing only uses 3 of them.

Thanks,
Celia

That's a mean looking MINI. I like the black treatment including the wing.

Believe me, I'm trying! I've been searching for a front lip for that last several weeks that I not only liked, but that would work with the Hypersport front bumper. I may have found one but I'll have to wait and see in another few weeks though.

I don't know about a rear diffuser...never really looked into those...
