High Pitch noise at High speed

Hey guys, I was driving up to College Station last week and got my mini up to a pretty high speed, about 90-95mph. Then it started to make a really high pitch noise. I noticed that when 18 wheelers flew by on the other lane going the other way past me, the noise intensified a little bit. This made me think the noise had something to do with wind, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else experienced this same noise...I want to get up to 100 sometime but I'm worried for my baby

Its probably your windshield, push on it when it makes that noise and see if it goes away, i seen a few people having problems with that.

That actually happened to me about 2 months ago on the way to New Orleans one night. It lasted for about 5 min and I haven't heard it since. Not to sure what it was.

Guys, we have a great forum here exclusively for 'problems'. Search for 'noise' there (subject line only), and you will see a few threads on various wind noise problems and how they were resolved.

I have not heard the high pitch but have been having problems with the driver's side door and sunroof above 65+ MPH.

Car has been at the dealer since last Thursday waiting on new seals to arrive...
There is also plenty of documentation here regarding the windshield problem; good luck with that.

First, howdy from CS. Ok, Bryan really, but who can tell where they split ('cept for the signs)?
Second, the high pitched sound issue. I noticed a dramatic increase in wind noise, and high pitched at that, during a cross wind. Sounded like a window wasn't seated all the way up. Both times it was not exactly broadside, more like the 4 or 8 o'clock position.
Third: Slow down on 6. Almost a toll road thru there, they hand out so many tickets.

I get the noise with a strong crosswind at highway speeds, or about XX mph without a wind. It's a safety feature--tells you to slow down!

Like they said, it's the window seal. There's a thread up about it in the stock problems forum. I had the same problem and got it fixed at the dealer, took only 2 hours for them to fix it once they received the part!

My radar detector isn't that sophisticated. Anyone want to give me a V-1 for my birthday??

IT MIGHT BE run flat tires? ?? Do you guys have these?
I've heard of alot of guys on here having odd sounds and road noise at all different levels of speed coming from runflat tires...

My old MC very *rarely* would have whistles coming from the AC vents though. but rarely..
