I would guess it is a bad tire or alignment. I could possibly be a bad suspension component I used to get that with my 66 mustang and now I can't remember what caused it. Could have be an out of round tire. Question did the vibration move when you rotated tires? If it was on the front and now on the rear it is a tire or wheel if it is still in the same location it is the suspension./alignment.

Just to rule out a Trans Issue, which gear are you in when this is happening. 5th or 6th. If 6th, try leaving it in 5th and see how that changes things since you will also be at a different RPM range.
4-5 MPH range of occurrance is pretty small too. But since you can 'drive' out of it, it does seem like a balance issue. The tires may need to be Road Forced Balanced on a Hunter Tire Balancer. Sometimes you just have to move the tire around on the rim to a different mounted location to cancel out a weird balance issue that only happens at a certain speed, all the while the rim had shown perfect balance on a tire balancer when checked. Really rare, but it happens

Yeah, I suspect it is a tire issue or alignment problem. The right front tire was worn on the outside. The Mini dealer said the alignment was fine, but never put it on the machine. When I rotated and balanced the tires nothing changed. I have a feeling I'll be buying tires soon think I'll go with non runflats.

If the tire is wearing on the outside you have an alignment issue or possible a worn part in suspension. If the Dealer didn't put it on the machine how could he tell the alignment was ok. When you get the new tires have the alignment checked and corrected all four corners. Not familiar with Run Flats so don't know all the problems and wear patterns they have.
