Clutch issues
The other day the wife's 2010 Clubman S took a dump. Her mom was driving it and without warning, would not move under its own power. I drive over the road and finally got to look at it yesterday.
No matter what gear it is in, the car can be running and I can literally get out and push it. It revs up but no power to the wheels at all.
I was quoted from the dealer, if it is the clutch, over $2500. The car only has 66k and the clutch is not covered under the warranty or the extended warranty we purchased. We bought the car with 39k miles. I just recently had to replace brakes as well. That was a quote of over $1200 but I was able to get the parts and do it myself for $500.
Had to replace the run flats at 45k miles at the cost of $1000. I'd put regular tires on it but they put the JCW rims on it and with that size rim, regular tires won't fit.
I am about ready to get rid of this money pit.

If you're able to put it in gear, let the clutch out, and it still doesn't move, chances are the clutch is wasted. Being toast at that mileage isn't uncommon with the gen 2 cars, they lack the quality of the gen 1 clutches, we've replaced them as low as just over 36xxx miles.
Unfortunately the only options for your car is going to be stock or possibly an OS Giken, which depending on your wife may be a handful to drive daily.
