OEM vs Pooch Style dog mats

How does the one MINI offers compare to the Pooch Style Mat? I saw on the website that the Pooch Style one can be made to have the front seats barricaded from the back, which was why I originally dismissed it. The MINI one looks cool, but the Pooch Style looks much more padded.

Pooch Style:

I don't know about the pooch styles one, but you mentioned padding... the Mini cover is not padded.

(I picked up the mini cover last week, but haven't used it yet)

Thanks, I'll go with the Pooch Style in that case

Padding might be for more than one reason.

That black dog in the picture looks really demented.

Pooch style matts

My yellow labs fit perfect in the clubman with the Pooch style matts. I really enjoy the personal service that they give you too, as well as a wide range of choices for patterns of the fabric. I have had mine over two years and they are still in perfect condition. You can remove the pads and wash them when needed too. Great product, good service, what's not to like?

Oh wow, I might buy the pooch styles too! I used my checkered cargo cover for the first time tonight... what a PITA! Maybe it will be easier next time, now that I know what I am doing, but geez. I had to crawl around inside the car to get the thing aligned and velcroed in properly. And there is all this excess velcro that is exposed when the seats are laying down, which I foresee becoming full of dog fur if we don't put a blanket on top of it. Not to mention I was unfortunately wearing a sweater and had to detach myself from it constantly. And one of my poor dogs was so confused about getting in through the boot. He kept going to the other doors and trying to get in, I had to pick the poor little guy up.

But it did cover things pretty well. I think I will hang on to it for hauling yard stuff when spring hits, but I may be spending the additional $300 (ouch!!) for the pooch styles backseat cover pretty soon.

The pooch style matts have only two velcro pieces that go around the headrests. The rest attach to the windows with little suction cups. Piece O Cake to install in seconds.

My Poochstyle rear seat mat arrived the other day in espresso raffia colour:

Well designed and well made. I like it better than the OEM mat/cover.

I have the Pooch Style for my Cooper in zebra print with the flip-down over the bumper. I too like that it's padded and it is a cinch to put in and take out, whereas the MINI one is sort of a pain.

Love supporting our NAM community vendors, too!

Pooch Style for the win. Love mine - I never take it out except to shake it out.

I like the Poochstyle mats, they got the job done this weekend when I took "Bear," our new 54 lb. Rottweiler puppy to the vet to get neutered. I will post a shot of him in it later..

They are quality product and caught pretty much all of his shedding hair.

I like the OEM because it covers a LOT more of the bumper and the rear flap has zippers to protect the hatch door. The Pooch Style can fall down leaving this area unprotected. The OEM also fits the contours of the car better (duh). I'm not so worried about the padding (my GSD actually doesn't like it and our small mix doesn't care either way) so that also plays into my decision.
