Wheels

Hey All,

Just got my R55 Clubman S and it came stock with some subpar 16 inch wheels. I wanted some opinions on which size 17 or 18's? Pros and Cons? Also it would be extremely helpful for some good websites or even locations (NYC) where you've all had some luck finding good deals and also great selection?

Thanks alot,

REX

Tirerack.com has a large selection of wheels and tires that will fit you car. if you have any questions you can call Alex at Tire Rack, he is very knowledgeable - they also have an add here on NAM in the vendors listing.

One other thing you can do is to do as everyone else does and search the clubman threads for wheels in pictures in fact there is a thread on this exact subject here.

Just a note for you as you are new. Most likely you can find 98% or more of you questions already answered if you search the forum. Search is you friend here at NAM.

TIRE RACK!!

Used them for years, always beat the local prices by several hundred dollars and if you get rims and tires they have em balanced so all you do is throw em on your car and drive.

I'd go 17's. 18's look nice but the ride gets much rougher, easier to bend rims and without springs or coilovers, the car looks a bit high. Just my $.02.

Have fun!

I've got 17's on my Clubman S, and have not regretted it. I prefer the look of 17s over 18s, as I like a little bit of rubber on my wheels--not a fan of that rubber band tire look. Plus as mentioned, the ride will be smoother, and you won't risk bending wheels as much.
