Clubman Muffler aftermarket

I have a 2008 base (non TURBO-S) Cooper Mini Clubman. I was hoping to get an aftermarket muffler for it, to add some spice. I see this muffler from REMUS at this site:

http://www.remususa.com/epages/remus...cts/7540040507

Its PN 7540040507.

Its looks like it would fit my vehicle based upon what I see from my stock muffler. Has anyone tried this on an 08 or 09 Clubman base?

I also see this Remus model in another post. Does anyone know if only using the RIGHT hand unit would work for the Clubman NON TURBO ?

No I have not tried it and would not at $600+ --Just no value for me. I believe an exhaust shop can do a custom install much less than $600.

Can you recommend a nice sounding muffler?

Ragomini,
I took my 2008 Clubman, non-S to the local muffler shop and they installed a Magnaflow exhaust system that sounds awesome. You might check a couple of the latest posts in the non-S Cooper section.

I had a Magnaflow on mine and it sounded nice, but not quite loud enough for my tastes, so I had my resonator taken off. Now it sounds awesome. I'd definitely recommend taking that route.

I decided to go an inexpensive route as someone on this forum recommended and am getting a Magnaflow 11132 muffler and a nice tip for it. I think that will do for now. Thanks.

Just wanted to followup. I had the Magnaflow muffler PN 11132 installed replacing the stock muffler. I really like the sound. More European sounding which is what I wanted. Not sure I get any extra HP but the sound is just what I wanted. Its inexpense and solid design. Thanks.
