So, what's the most popular color anyway?

The post below asking opinions on colors made me think about it. The reply saying that blue, green and yellow have lower trade in value made me wonder. I think yellow looks great but is probably the least popular color. I think BRG is the right color for any British performance car but maybe not everyone's cup of tea. From what I see around the New York metro area almost half of the Mini's seem to be some shade of blue. I think Red with White is the most popular Cooper color combo, but what about the Clubman?

What's the most popular color combo for the Clubman?

This cracks me up because I was just wondering the same thing. So I Googled "mini cooper color popularity" and found http://www.minicarparts.net/News/archive/BCAwinners.cfm

An interesting article to be sure. But what cracked me up was this thread was listed in my Google search results 2 down from that link.

I see an awful lot of silver MINI's around. Not enough Clubmen around to make this a reliable call, but I think Pepper White is the most popular color I've seen on them so far. We all know that Electric Blue was the best color of all time, though.

Since I've seen 4 Clubmans including mine and two of them were Pepper White with Black roofs and C pillars, I'm going to say 50% of all Clubmans sold MUST be Pepper White

Every other Clubman I see is PW with a black top & pillars, if not more than half.

That makes me not want the PW/PW/B mini I was thinking I wanted. Now another trip to the dealer to peruse the colors. I hate having a car everyone has, although I don't see too many around, but of the few I see 2 of 5 were PW...

PW/B/B is very common, but PW/PW/B or PW/PW/S is not, especially the latter. I would personally go for the latter if I chose PW as the base, but some of the other colors are indeed very tempting. Like all black or dark silver...

A PW/PW/B pulled up to me last night at a light. I never see clubmans so it was very strange. I think it sealed the deal that I do not want that color after all. Off to the dealer to get some hands on eye candy to make my decision. Good thing I mull things over forever, need to do all my second guessing up front! And of course the color will change options as well
