Please Help Sirius Question - Brand new car

Hi all,

I just got a new 09 Clubman today (had a 02 s a long time ago). It has the ten speaker system and I want to add factory sirius.

I have read around the website, but I still need some help. What is the part number for the sirius kit for our car? I am going to order from morristown tomorrow.

I want to do the install myself. If I understand correctly, the only thing I need to do is take out the passenger seat and open up the box and install the tuner. Do I need to do anything else? I mean literally anything else.

Thanks

The system will need to be programmed to recognise the input. Ask about the full install time vs. just programming. Might be close enough that it would be a good idea to have the dealer drop it in for you.

Also - Morristown MINI had that kit listed on their web site a while back and it was discounted. Check their site for the part number.

Still on their site. The part number is listed as 60 11 0 432 322. The price seems pretty hefty when the portables go for cheap, but I guess that's the price you pay for integration.

I got a quote of 2.5 hours to do the install. A reprogram couldn't possibly take that long could it?

Nope. They might charge you 1/2 hour or they might charge 1 hour to do the programming. Seems to depend on the dealer.

A bit off topic...what about HD radio? Can I also get the part, install it myself (under seat or right side of the trunk area) and have the dealer reprogram it?
