Auto Unlocking Feature??

Hello All,
I have been searching the forums on weather or not you can auto unlock your doors either when you put your car in park or when you turn it off. I have read that some 1st gen's do this but my 09 Clubman S does not... and yes I have read the s**t out of the manual and can only find auto locking and nothing on auto unlocking PLEASE, PLEASE can anybody help me?????

Just in case you're using the unlock button every time you get out...

First pull of the door handle will unlock it, and the second pull of the door handle will open the door. After a little a while it becomes second nature to give it a quick double pull.

A lot of European cars are this way. Don't know why.

There's no auto-unlock function. You can set it to not auto-lock though, like you mentioned.

Some after market car alarms have that feature built in, when you shut down the engine it will automatically unlock the door(s) for you.

It is a feature of the gen 1 cars, but not available for gen 2. From what I can tell, it's a safety issue, i.e. you can turn off your car, and only un-lock the doors when you want, so if you are in a not-so-nice area, your doors don't un-lock unless you really want them too.
